I am considering getting a Viewsonic e771 monitor, It is selling for 400
Canadian.

I've looked around but found no reviews on the monitor, and would like to
know what people that own it think.

Please either post here or email me

thanks

I am not very impressed with it. The tube is quite curved, and it is nowhere
near the quality of the Professional series viewsonics. It is low priced,
but is still
not a bargain. I would rather use a high quality 15" monitor instead.
You should try to stretch your budget, and get a decent quality 17"
(or even a nice 19"?) monitor, like a Sony 220GS, or Viewsonic professional
series monitor(model number begins with a P). take a look at the monitors
with your own eyes.

I have an E771 and am quite happy with it. I'd be even happier if I'd
only paid $400.

The only real downside is that the sceen is somewhat curved. Colour
and brightness are very good. Text sharpness is very good, better than
the 21" Dell monitor I have at work.

I run the monitor at 1024x768 as I am very nearsighted. If I was
running at higher resolutions I'd probably have gone for the
professional series.

Best
Keith
