I have several video files that were saved by RealPlayer in .ivr format.
Can anyone one advise as to how to convert these file to avi format. I have
been unable to locate any software that can handle this

Bill

Apparently nobody has an answer yet to this problem.
I upgraded to RP11 just today. It's a nice feature, this recording,
but when its format is totally incompatible with any other software
and cannot be converted either, it's almost useless!
Once again it is an example of the arrogance of the makers of the
Realplayer.

I watch the webcam at Pete's Pond in Botswana a lot. And like to
record from it and make (little) video's to put on the Internet.
But it's a lot of extra work to convert the .rm files first in order
to edit the raw material. But at least thát format CAN be converted!
Another solution would be for Microsoft to adjust WindowsMovieMaker
so that these recordings don't need converting. ;-D
I have been searching for software all day long, but haven't found
anything yet.
Help would be greatly appreciated by many people, I'm sure!

Realplayer will burn your ivr movie file onto DVD's for you to watch
on your regular TV. You have to buy Realplayer Plus and than you can
do it. After you have it burned onto a DVD I am sure you can with it
as you please.
