I work for the Automation Services of a library and we have about six computers
that used to be in a public area and had passwords placed on their setup
screen by students. We now need to change some things in setup, but we can
not get to the CMOS because it requires a password. It turns out that the
battery seems to be in the same package as the CMOS so we can not just yank
out the battery and start over. Does anyone know how we might "erase" the
info in side without breaking the package open? These are NCC computers and
since the company went belly-up we can not contact them for help. (which it
says to do if the battery ever goes bad) Any help would be welcomed. Thanks
in advance.
