I'm lookig for the jumper setting of the ST3941A HDD (Seagate, 899 cyl, 15
heads, 62 sectors, 428.1 MB); couldn't find it in file

The jumper setting chart of ST3491A is sticked on the top of the drive!
At least the one I bought here has such sticker!

well, the one I bought has a sticker with the number of cylinders, heads and
sectors on it, but no jumper setting chart; otherwise I wouldn't have post
the question in the first place... if you somewhere have a description of
the jumper settings, could you please mail me some info about it?

No Jumper: The drive is a master; the slave is either an ST3491 family
drive or another ATA-compatible drive, or there is no Slave

1-2 : The drive is a master; a slave is present, but it does not
have a DASP-signal

ATA-compatible

7-8 : The drive is a slave to an ATA-compatible master
