Does anyone know what these modules do? I wouldn't worry much except
that I HATE spyware and the web site
www.spywareinfo.com/startup_full.htm mysteriously does not have the
page and information I need.

which explained that those two files were required for
running an executable directly from your zip disk, and
to support the zip equivalent of "auto notification of
insert"
A search for "adusermon" on google groups, showed results
indicating that it is either (a virus) or (spyware from
kazaa) I don't know. I've never used the ioware.
Maybe kazaa just coincidentally named the spyware with
the same file names as ioware, in order to trick people
better.
If you disable those two files and then lose your ability
to run exe's from your zip drive, that would be evidence
that "adusermon" is legitimate.

Thought I should post an update. The old drivers with the new ioware
download did not work as well as I thought. A few nights in the
secret lab revealed that my computer would crash anytime I tried to
unlock a locked Zip disk.
Oh well, Windows 98 can handle Windows 95 programs so I went back to
the Windows 95 version of Ioware/drivers and everything is back to
normal.
Moral of the story: Don't upgrade to a new driver if the old one
works just fine.
