can someone help me on this problem, i've got an elite 4/75 and the hard
drive died so i replaced it with another and now it will only boot with a
floppy, so i ran the setup from disc and when i get to the storage screen
and try to enter the new drives details i can't enter any figure above 20
for the ECC number, which i assume is why the drive is not being recognised?
i also get the error 1782 does this mean my new drive is no good or is
related to the above problem?

Hi
I got a pretty simple question. I'm building an all new system that
includes an IBM 14.4 deskstar and was wondering am i going to need any
different type of cables for this HD. I haven't got my mobo yet it's
on it's way an asus P2b-f. What kind of cables should come with this
mobo if any at all and what would i need to buy if i had no cables to
hook it up.
Thanx,Mark

In article <7ceu3p$5le$1...@news8.svr.pol.co.uk>,
sounds like an IBM bios error that usually means the system cannot support the
drive. get a bios update from the system MFR, or a controller card.
