I have been given 2 Plus+ hardcard 20 (2 20 meg hardcard's)
I do not have the drivers for install software for them
I have no way of knowing if they even work. I have tried a bbs number
for Plus+ but it(the phone #) is not a working number.

Please help!
thanks in advance

When I installed them in a PC (about 4+ years ago) there was only one
jumper to set, 1st or 2nd. I set the jumper, installed the card, and
booted the system from floppy. No install software I can remember.

Do a dir c: or d: and see what happens.

To know if the system even acknowledges the cards, you should see a '+'
in the upper right of the screen. This simulates the LED on a "real"
hard drive.

BTW, I just came in possession of a Hardcard 40. Problem is, it only shows
20M capacity on a checkdisk.

Does anybody know of a ROM BIOS location to go to do a low level format
in this puppy?

The '+' only occurs if that software driver is loaded.

All I remember from the manual is that you have to use their software to
format/partiion the drives.

I have a 100 meg hard card xl 2 already. If I take it to another
computer and just plug it in, it has about 50/50 chance of working (for
read only). after I put the driver in config.sys or run the install
program (which does the same thing) I can read/write. I was hopping I
could find sombody with a driver but for the 20 meg drive. The driver I
have works for 100 and 50 meg Hardcard Plus+ XL II drives.

I have already have a 100 meg HardCard Plus+ XL II. If I just plug
it into a pc it has a 50/50 chance of working (read only). When I load

the driver in config.sys or run the install program (which does the same
thing) the drive will act as it should. These 20 cards have only one
switch on them labled XT/PC for using them on a xt machine for a pc.
I was hoping I could find sombody who could get me a copy for there
driver for a 20 card that they are using.

The 10 and 20 MB HardCards have no device driver. Device drivers became
neccessary with the HardCard 2 series.
