Not as fast as the others, Ditto, as a tape drive, is bound to be a lot
slower than the Zip or Jaz drives.

They each serve different purposes and markets. You could
check out www.iomega.com for a better comparison, but basically:
Ditto: For long term backups mostly, cannot be accessed as a separate
drive (unless you get thrid party software), cheap storage, slowest access.
(parallel port only)
Zip: Mid range storage (stuff you might normally put on a lot of floppies),
sets up as an extra removable drive on most systems, semi-cheap storage,
faster than floppy- but not up to HD speed. Good access speed.
(parallel port and SCSI models)
Jaz: Hard Drive level storage (treat it like a swappable hard drive), sets
up as an extra removable drive, semi-cheap storage (cost per cart is less
than the same amount of Zip disks, but you have to pay a higher premium
per each cart ($15 for Zip vs $99 for Jaz, approx price). (SCSI only).

Why? You can also use the Jazz as another hard drive. It's fast too!
