Hello all:
I upgraded the Display driver for the graphics chip on my HP Pavilion
7130P which is an S3 Troi 64V+ to a version which supported DirectX. I
played around with it and found that there were new, true color 24 bit
settings. I decided to try one of the new settings and my display balooned
and all the Icons on my desktop were all missized. I got back to the
setting for 16 bit color eventually but my display was not exactly square.
It kinda droops in the upper right hand corner. After reloading Windows
95, and reloading drivers and changing every setting I could think of, I
decided to have my display replaced. HP tech support agreed that it was a
display problem and sent a repair guy over to replace the display. The
problem did NOT go away. Now, what inside the computer could be causing
this? I thought the size of the pixels was fixed and the map size forced
the display to be exactly square. Evidently not. Does anyone have any idea
what may be causing this?
Thanks,
Skil
