Olivetti Laptop D33/C (386 DX / 33 Mhz)
LCD graphics card is of type "SVGA Hualon"
Chipset: HM 86304, Video memory 256K
We need the installation disks with all drivers
a) VESA driver for MSDOS.
I am very much interested in the specific VESA driver by the
card manufacturer (or by Olivetti).
I am not interested in UNIVBE 5.3a (the demo version can´t be turned
into a full blown version), support for this video chipset was
reintegrated with that version. UNIVBE 5.3 does not support this chip.
So a little-bit older version (5.2 or 5.1 or so) which still support
the chip would be great... especially if You know that there were
s/n keys for that specific version published in the newsgroups
(!Dejanews!). We don´t own credit cards, like most people in Germany.
And we know that paying by Internet is *unsafe* !!!
b) SVGA drivers for WIN 3.1 (for WIN 95, for WIN-NT 3.51 or WIN-NT 4.0),
for LINUX. The standard LCD drivers for CGA,EGA,VGA for WIN 3.1 are
available.
c) SVGA BGI drivers for BORLAND MSDOS programs ?
d) Is there any setup utility ?
e) By what keypress may I get into the ROM setup ?
f) By what keypress may I switch the Turbo function and the other
functions which are printed in gray below the F? function keys ?
I understand that I get trouble if I load the german keyboard
drivers of MSDOS, but I was not able to do any of these functions even
witout any keyboard driver
g) What is the port address and the interrupt of the second serial port
(the mouse port). May I use the external mouse port as COM2 for my
own purposes if I don´t need a mouse ? And how may I switch the mouse
off for such purposes ?
h) Any other useful utility or video driver for popular MSDOS
applications (well, MS-WORD, WORD PERFECT,.. but only for the latest
versions)
i) What types (manufactorer, diskname, capacity, disk parameters)
of harddisks may I install as replacement for the 100 MByte harddisk ?
Unfortunately, 40 MB of the 100 MB are marked as "defect" and I don´t
know how to do a low-level formatting ! Any idea ?
Please answer me personally. If You got any of it, please wait for
an answer by myself by which I will tell You whether I would like to get
anything sent as attachment (or mention an URL or FTP site where I may
download it). To avoid multiple sendings of megabytes, please don´t send
anything big with Your first mail !
Sincerely
Rolf
