Hallo to everybody,

I've got a problem with a 72 pin SIMM with a capacity of 16
Mbytes; my 486 based PC can see only 4Mbytes.
On the SIMM there are eight TM417400AJ chips by ACT (BTW anybody knows
the site of this company?).
Is this an EDO SIMM?
What can be the problem's cause with 486 systems?
Thanks in advance,

Bob.

It's quite possible your 486 system's bios does not support Ram chips
larger than 4MB's. A 4mb chip was considered pretty big when 486's came
out...
