Are there any modem/sound card that could be used to make my PC into a
digital phone answering machine. Would need to answer the phone, play back
a sound clip into the phone line, store voice clips into a file as long as
the phone line is active. Other nice to have feature would be sencing the
push button tone pulses.

Any info on hardware or software to do this would be helpful.

Thank you.

The Zyxel U-1496E+ (that's PLUS, important!) does what you want.
There are several programs simulating an answering machine. Well
simulating is not the right word, they are *much* better than
ordinary answering machines.

: Thank you.

No problem
