How can I accuse/whatever fraud mail order? I mean, I paid money,
they don't ship it, nor answering the phone, etc.
Actually, my case is not the exact mail order. I bought an external
modem at computer swapmeet (or computer show) on Sunday, and it turned
out to be a defective one. I called seller on Monday, and agreed to
go to the next computer swapmeet next Sunday, because their store was
too far from my place. When I went there (I had to pay admission
fee!) I found that they didn't bring the same model. As I complained
about it (because I called them already), they suggested me to leave
the modem, and they would ship me a new one. So, I left that
defective modem and received the new invoice which says "exchange."
However, I didn't receive the package by the date they promised. I
called them hundred times, and they never answered. I tried to fax
them, and I found out answering machine answered me. I left 3
messages, and they still haven't give me a return call.
I would really appreciate your help or any kind of information.

1) i think the folks working the computer shows are working with
unrealistic margins ... and AREN'T going to be big on customer service.
2) you can probably use small claims court but you may have a hard
time collecting if they aren't in business by the time you get a settlement.
3) paying with a bank card offers "some" protection on this type of
transaction.
4) you don't help YOUR case any by mis-labeling the issue.
5) good luck.
