I've seen this NEC EPP->SCSI adapter in several stores lately. I have a
distinct feeling that this is actually a Trantor (Adaptec) MiniSCSI EPP.
I say this because I know NEC used to repackage Trantor T130s.
The "catch" is that while a Trantor EPP goes for upwards of $200, I've been
seeing this NEC one for $160 or so.

Anybody know exactly what this thing is?

Thanks in advance.

I have one in my hands. On one side it says "Copyright 1992-1992 Trantor
Systems Limited. The device driver is MA358.SYS. Isn't 358 the Trantor
model for their equivalent? The enclosed diskettes are also copyright by,
among others, Trantor.

Kazuto:

Just FYI, although not quite the same thing, we are liquidating
Trantor minISCSI pocket adaptors Model 338's for $79 ea. These
are brand new with warranty. These are the units with the 150
Kb/s transfer rate but do have the parallel port pass-thru to
hook up the printer. I'd be grateful for your opinion on the
price. I recall that there were some EPP units also available at
the time we bought up this job lot, but I didn't get those.

We are computer liquidators located in Toronto and have been in
business for 12 years. With rare exceptions, we only sell brand
new hardware with warranties and original shrink wrapped software
with registration cards.

We have a weekly e-mail broadcast of our specials. To receive
this list simply send us an email message with LIQUIDATION PRICE
LIST in the body of the message. Send another message anytime you
want to stop receiving the price lists.
