2X CD-ROM Drive with Caddy around $200

Since I plan to let my children use CD-ROMs, I am looking for a drive
with caddies to prevent disk damages. My budget is around $200, and
I currently have a Sound Blaster Pro. I've seen Sony, Mitsumi,
Creative Labs, Reveal, and Panasonic double-speed drives, but they
are all caddy-less. Are there any with caddies in this price range?

Another question: Are there any advantages or disadvantages of getting
a drive that would plug-in directly to the SBPro versus the ones that
use its own controller card? I want to avoid any hassles with IRQ/DMA.
Thanks in advance for any information (model number, performance, and
dealer with good price).
