Ultima VII Question

This may or may not be a stupid question but here goes anyway...

I have just started playing The Black gate and I seem to have run into
a problem: I am trying to get the password to leave Trinsic, however
the numbers on my map are almost unreadable, so I can't answer the
questions the mayor asks and get the password to leave. Am I missing
something or do I just have a bad map?

Your map should be legible as mine is. The numbers on the map read
longitude and latitude. If you need numbers for the lines, I'll relay
them now to you.
Longitude: 1st line starts at 60, then 30,0,30,60,90,120,150 and 180.
Latitude: 1st line starts at 90,60,30,0,30,60,90,120,150 and 180.
Answer the mayor's questions properly and you should get password to get
out of Trinsic!

I just started playing too but I'm a little furthur ahead of you. However
, I don't like the non-linear approach because I'm basically wandering
around. Let me know if you've made any progress. Maybe we can both help
each other on the same path of the solution!

Yes, You have a bad map. Please call Origin and request new map! :-)

Or find the patch for it. romulus site maybe!

Look at the map, there are vertical lines and Hori. lines.
The one that cross lord B castle is 0, form that count out. The next line
is 30,60,90 .... ( 30 step ). Do it that way you will get the coor.
for the password.
