I just bought Fifa Soccer 97 for the Playstation. U.S. soccer fans
beware, NONE OF THE U.S. PLAYERS ARE "In the game". The U.S. National
team is made up of a bunch of made up names. The U.S. team in FIFA 96
is much closer to the actual team than in FIFA 97. Also, The MLS is not
represented at all. The U.S. league in FIFA 97 is the same as in FIFA
96. Other international teams are accurate.

Actually Claudio Reyna is on his German club (Leversta...(sp)) but
the national team is fantasy names. Also the rosters are only accurate as
of last year; none of this years, or the pre-season's major transfers are
included in the game. But its still very good nonetheless.

Other international teams are NOT accurate. They are pretty much what they
were in FIFA 96. Shame on EA Sports who announced "up to date rosters for
12 leagues". They must know that a large percentage of the people that get
these games are soccer fans that can tell that the lineups are all screwed
up... Big mistake!

Correction. The players are indeed real, but they're a bunch of
A-League and USISL players. Probably has a lot to do with licensing and
fees to get MLS teams and players, not to mention the fact that an MLS
game is forthcoming in 1997.

Still, it is a fun game.
