FLAME ON break out your asbestos underwear
Not since Eye of the Beholder's infamous ending have I seen such an anti-
climax. MM3 took me over 100hrs to complete, MM4's Xeen was history after
~25 (count them all, there aren't many) hrs!! The guy above was lucky, at
least he got to see the dragon king and a diamond golem, I "finished" the
game with only a third of the map explored. Implosion? I didn't have that
spell when I "finished" the game, Incinerate was virtually the only magic I
needed to do Xeen's castle in its entirety!!! I couldn't believe it when I
freed Crodo and he told me to go upstairs and kill xeen, I'd only completed
a handful of the dungeons on the map! I was sick to my stomach when a
bodiless voice (or was it an electric jester) told me I needed an 'xeen
cupie doll' to enter his lair. What a joke!
FLAME OFF
I have two opinions as to why MM4 was turned into such a farce:
1. The most likely explanation is that New World needed a game out fast &
MM4 drew the short straw.
2. It is just possible that there is a MAJOR bug in the system by which you
rebuild newcastle. If it cost more megacredits i.e. 5,10,15... the game
would have lasted a lot longer. As it is all the credits needed to complete
the game are located in 2 dungeons.
To quote a wise philosopher:

I must agree with these people entirely. MM4 was the first MM game I
played since MMI and I was quite impressed with the graphics and sound.
However, in retrospect, the game was INCREDIABLY easy to finish! When I think
about it, I whizzed through that game in a little under a week, where as other
games, like Ultima, Wizardy, took much much longer. In MM4 I was surprised with
how fast the characters advanced. 500,000 XP here, 1,000,000 XP there. I was
having trouble keeping up with all the levels. And gold? I had so much gold
I could have bought every weapon, armour and magic item in every town and still
have some left over to live happily. As far as MegaCredits? I could have
bought NewCastle 10 times over if possible. I was impressed with the sounds
, graphics, and plot, but the game itself was just too damn easy!!!

I liked the game, but it was too short. I would hope that the game, when com-
bined with Darkside, will seem more complete.
