The 7th Guest: Floor Puzzle

Hi all,
I have had 7th Guest for about three days now and am stuck on the
floor puzzle in the secret room on the second floor. Stauf's voice
comes on and says using only what you see can you get from a to b?.
I thought you just had to get across to the other arrow but after doing
that and it not working I must assume that you have to clear the entire
set of blocks from the floor. Any hints out there?

one of the easiest solution is:
from point a, move diagonally to the right all the way,
then staright up twice and lastly step on the last three tiles in the
following manner 1,2,3, B(point b):

The trick is know that the colors represent numbers from 1-3. Watch carefully
how the tiles fall. It will vary depending on the path you choose. You have
to end up with the exact number of tiles falling.

Think of it as steps of three, step on three tiles, three should fall.
1-2-3
step on either 3 different colored tiles, or three of the same color.

i.e.
blue-blue-blue: OK
blue-orage-red(?): OK

blue-red-red: WRONG
orange-orange-red: WRONG
