I haven't bought it yet but will eventually. It's on sale at Steam but
only by a few bucks. Eddy can't complain about unrealistic units now
because it is a fantasy setting. ;)

Yup, fantasy rts/rpg hybrid that's getting positive comments all
around the 'net.

Not what I would call a wargame, but as there isn't a fixed definition
everyone agrees on you can call PacMan a wargame for all I care.

Enjoy - and as long as you don't come claiming in here that it's oh so
historically accurate you won't hear a peep from me.

Greetz,

Oh, I imagine that somewhere out there in RPG / fantasy land there's
some goof gearing up to complain about the game vs. some footnote to
"Sir Gawain and the Green Knight."

I once marveled at a thread in one of the STARFLEET COMMAND forums,
where the McGuffin was the number of photon torpedo launchers on the
Klingon D7T "K'tinga" class battlecruiser. The *historical* record was
clear; in the film STAR TREK: THE MOVIE, a D7T is shown firing a spread
of three torpedoes at V'ger. Thus, three forward launchers. Later on,
the cruiser launches a single torpedo from the stern to detonate V'ger's
incoming plasma weapon. Thus, a single stern tube. Interestingly
enough, four photo torpedo tubes makes this class amazingly well-
balanced in the game.

So we shouldn't make the mistake of thinking that fantasy or science
fiction fans are any less protective of their "historical" canon as we
are of ours.

drive the entire world economy into a ditch, don't you think we should
take the covers off and invest a little more time and effort to
thoroughly examine how these models work? Hopefully this will include
analytical critiques from a wider cast of characters than the self
serving cabal whose mendacity and ham-handed attempts to marginalize
dissent were recently exposed."
