Field of Glory II

This past weekend, I stumbled across some screenshots for Field of Glory
II on the Matrix site.

There have been some false starts involving attempts to bring Field of
Glory up-to-date. This time, the developer is Byzantine Games, who
created Pike and Shot and Sengoku Jidai.

The first, and I assume the second (I don't have it), both also use the
Field of Glory miniatures rule-set for a basis. As I've posted here
before, I love Pike and Shot but am ambivalent about Field of Glory.
This could really turn it around if they bring the magic of the former
to the latter.

While the original FoG (the PC game) had expanded to cover quite a lot
of historical ground, FoGII is aiming for the period between the Pyrrhic
Wars and the Wars of Augustus. That is still enough for me. This is an
period of PC gaming that cries out to be done right.
