To allow your users to select between different language layouts, you would typically include selection UI in your application's Settings area. The following API is provided to enable your application to set the language that the on-screen keyboard will use:</div><div></div><div></div><div>In previous releases, the touch keyboard might obscure the focused text field so that the user was unable to see whatthey were typing. This release fixes this problem by automatically scrolling the text field into view so that it'sno longer obscured by the touch keyboard.</div><div></div><div></div><div>When the input language is set to the OS language, which is the default, the voice recognition input feature is available. To show the dictation button in the keyboard, refer to the following section onUser Interface configuration.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The on-screen keyboard provides several configurable options for its user interface. These are configured via the registry.During development, you can use PowerShell or Secure Shell (SSH). For creating an OEM image, the preferred mechanism for setting registry values is the OEMInput.xml file discussed here:</div><div></div><div></div><div>Most of the registry settings documented here will take effect while the on-screen keyboard is visible. This allows you during development to easily try different combinations of settings values, immediately seeing the resulting changes in real time. If a setting does not take effect immediately, you will need to reboot the device in order to see the changes to the keyboard UI.</div><div></div><div></div><div>By default, the touch keyboard will use the lower 45% of the screen's height. This may appear too large or small on your device, depending on its size and resolution. You can adjust the height up to a maximum of two-thirds the height of the screen. Any value not in range will be clamped into range. Because this is specified as a floating point value, it allows for pixel-level precision.</div><div></div><div></div><div>We suggest that you avoid using Keyboard Manager when playing games as it may affect the game's performance. It will also depend on how the game accesses your keys. Certain keyboard APIs do not work with Keyboard Manager.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Yes it will. Right now if you remap A to B on English (US) keyboard and then change the language setting to French, typing A on the French keyboard (Q on the English US physical keyboard) would result in B, this is consistent with how Windows handles multilingual input.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Keyboard Manager lists mappings for all known physical keyboard keys. Some of these mappings may not be available on your keyboard as there may not be a physical key that it corresponds to. For instance: the Start App 1 option shown below is only available on keyboards that physically have a Start App 1 key. Trying to map to and from this key on a keyboard that does not support the Start App 1 key will result in undefined behavior.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I have been connecting to a remote virtual PC at work from a MacBook Pro at home via Citrix Receiver since the pandemic started. My MacBook Pro is hooked to a ergonomic keyboard. It has a windows key and functions as the Cmd button normally for me. However I have two issues when I am connected to the windows PC at work. Even though I have been tinkering with the settings of the Citrix Receiver for over a year now I have not been able to solve these two issues:</div><div></div><div></div><div>Open Settings again. Now go to Preferred languages (as described before), click on English (United States) > Options and remove "United States-International".Close Settings. Now the tray keyboard list will not have ENG INTL options!</div><div></div><div></div><div>If you have multi languages installed (like in my example, I am running Windows 11 (Version 21H2 Build 22000.856) with English + German installed), one should be able to change the default keyboard layout without the need to change the registry but by just putting the language in question to the top position:</div><div></div><div></div><div>Connect the keyboard with up to 3 devices via Bluetooth or to a single device with the USB Type-C wired option. Pair it up with your smartphone, laptop and iPad, and switch amongst the devices swiftly, that is best for home, office and light gaming uses.</div><div></div><div></div><div>On Windows 10, in the initial setup, you usually get prompted to configure additional keyboard layouts. However, you can always add or remove layouts if you don't choose the correct setting or must type in another language.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Once you complete the steps, the icon will appear in the Taskbar's notification area to access the layouts and switch between them. You can also use the "Windows key + Spacebar" keyboard shortcut to cycle between the available keyboard layouts quickly.</div><div></div><div></div><div>I have the option for the Windows Start button to open Start11 in every situation. Although I can open Start11 via clicking on the Start button on the screen with my mouse, Start11 will no longer open when pressing the Windows keyboard key.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Hello,</div><div></div><div>Sorry to hear you are having issues. When you press the Windows key on the keyboard. What open up? The default Windows start panel or nothing come up? If nothing come up, try disable Start11 and see if Windows default Start panel come up. Report back.</div><div></div><div></div><div>running into the same issue now. suddenly the windows key opens the default start menu when set to open the start11 start menu.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>is the only fix a complete reinstall/loss of settings/shortcuts etc then?</div><div></div><div></div><div>Quoting klepp0906, reply 6</div><div></div><div>running into the same issue now. suddenly the windows key opens the default start menu when set to open the start11 start menu.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>is the only fix a complete reinstall/loss of settings/shortcuts etc then?</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Please note that the help guides listed here are for languages that Miami currently teaches. If you have questions about setting up a language keyboard for a language that Miami does not currently teach, please contact the ILRC Director, Daniel Meyers, and he will assist you in getting your specific language set up.</div><div></div><div></div><div>For some Latin-based languages, such as French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, you may have an easier time with diacritical character input by using the US International keyboard layout You might decide to choose to use this layout over memorizing the individual ANSI codes for each character.</div><div></div><div></div><div>To enter ALT codes, be sure your Number Lock key is pressed for your numeric keypad.
