There has been some valid points expressed lately about Combat
Mission:Berlin to Barbarossa not fitting very well for the theater of the
Russian Front. I tend to agree with these expressions as the mapboards are
just not large enough to truly simulate the long range effects of tactical
manuevering and strategy during Barbarossa. Even if the mapboards are large
enough, it seems there are too many line-of-sight diustractions that make
the long range strategy null and void.

That's when I started thinking that these guys at Wild Bill's pack of
Raiders may be on to something. With a more close quarters type of combat,
like a city fight just outside and inside Stalingrad, might be a much better
arena to simulate with this gaming engine.

Has anybody tried this pack out yet?

I do not know if Wild Bill himself had anything to do with this mod. If he
did, I would guess it's pretty much the cat's ass. After playing his
scenarios with different engines for the last five years or so, he's pretty
much untouchable in making an exciting, entertaining battle.

If you've played it, I'd like to hear your opinion.
