What goes up and down but never moves?

(I thought it was temperature, but the sphinx didn't like that
answer... )

Anyone know?

(the riddles are a real fun touch, I actually got one, but now I cannot
remember what it was... )

Best regards,

This one appears in Might & Magic III as well (see, there is a connection
between the two series :), so I'll assume the answer is the same here.
Think of ways of going up and down ...

I guessed that too... (although technically the sun does move... ;)
and it didn't like that answer either.

I don't know the real answer, but you could try "sun" or "moon" and see
what happens.

Good luck,

I remember this riddle in MM3, and as I recall stairs is the correct answer.

Then again, I could be wrong :-)

What about the one that asks: "What is time well spent?". Anyone know?

If you're really stumped you can always load the map up in the editor
and look at the cell details for the Sphinx. The answer(s) are in the
there.

A couple of people have aready posted the answer to it in this thread
though.

It was stairs... It's amazing how stupid riddles make you feel. :)

Actually it is 'What is time spent poorly?',
All riddles are fairly straight but for
'A dragon, a cyclops,or an undead.
King of the centaurs, his name is ...?'
I did not have the faintest clue, until I found it on the net
