Hi, if you look on the box, it says very specifically that no disk compression
is supported. This is almost certainly one of your problems.

Make sure you change the interrupt in the SYND.BAT file from 7 to 5 (assuming
you did the default SB16 installation). This is probably the other source
of your problems.

Hi, if you look on the box, it says very specifically that no disk compression

No, actually this seems to be a "we're not responsible" disclaimer. I have
managed to successfully install Syndicate on a drive compressed with Stacker
2.0. There were no modifications necessary. What took a bit of work was
getting Super PC-Kwik to free up enough memory, since I have only 4 MB RAM
and Syndicate needs nearly all of it. It runs OK with 2,816K or so of free
EMS RAM. If you don't have enough, weird things happen... for example, the
intro plays, then the main game reboots your computer.

This is most assuredly a problem. Change the /iirq and /idma options to
reflect however you have it set up.
FOR ULTRASOUND OWNERS: It seems to work with SBOS 2.0 as long as you
remove the /iio$220 option from the batch file. (It's not set wrong,
my base port is at 0x220.)

That's what I've got, too. Doesn't seem to matter.

The important thing is that enough memory be present when Syndicate runs.
It doesn't seem to warn you if it can't find enough memory in certain
cases. From trial and error, you need at least 2,816K of available EMS
memory when it runs. For those of us with 4 MB RAM, it's a tight fit.
