Playing thru civ (again!) I noticed something was missing. Took me
a while to notice that one of the most important techs were missing! What am
I talking about? Telecommunications! Common, one of the most often used
and important discoveries of the modern era, and its not even mentioned?
Here's what I think..
Telephone. Requires Electricity and Democracy. (Don't ask me why,
but the timing seemes about right.) Allows building of telephone network
which boosts trade.
Radio. Requires Flight and Electricty. Doesn't really do squat.
Television. Requires Radio and Electronics. Allows building of a
TV station, whcih will turn an un-happy person (or normal if none is available)into a COUCH POTATOE. A couch potatoe is just like a normal citizen except
he is ALWAYS happy, and doesn't do anything else (no production from him)
Only usefull in large cities (for obvious reasons.)
Max Headroom. Requires Television and Computers. (Maybe robotics too)
Allows building of WOW known as "Max Headroom Project" which turns 50% of
the population into couch potatoes (thus increasing happiness all over) Not
recommended during times of war.
Soooo... what do you guys think? =)
