MOO2 EDITORS

The two best MOO2 editors I know of are:

COrion2, by Gonzalo Amor of Uruguay, and

Melting Pot, by David Howell of Australia.

COrion 2 is a saved game editor which does it all but is touchy and
should be used with care. Melting Pot edits races and technology
trees. Its race editing features can be made _permanent_ by altering
the *.lbx files. The tech tree editing can only be done to a saved
game. The latest version can also allow importing of new picture
files for an empire's leader, though I haven't tried that yet.

Alex Kineer of someplace in the US is developing a leader editor which
can make permanent changes to leaders.

I have done some seriously perverted things with Melting Pot, and
expect to replace some of the leader images with those of the Three
Stooges once I figure out how.

Does anybody know of an editor that let's you edit the images of the
ships in MoO ][ ? Sure would be nice to paint the green ships to
look like Vorlon craft and the purple ones to look like Shadow ships.

Put a Kosh leader image in for the Psilons and a Shadow Creature in for
the Darloks. I think that would be FUN.

I'd even be interested in making one if I could find something that
tells me where the ship images are and what format the data is in.

and HEY - paint the white ships to look like B5 Earth Alliance ships,
the blue ones to look like the Centauri, gold for the Minbari .....

And re-name Orion to Z'Ha'Dum while you're at it... :)
