I was told there is a way to increase the allowed points in Quick Battle
Mode from 8,000 to 10,000. Does anyone know how to do this?

Also, anyone know when the new armies are being released?

You can actually increase it to 16,000. Just choose two player slots, and
fight against two computer opponents.

There has been no word yet on new armies. SSI and John Eberhardt (who no
longer works there) are both very quiet, after promising a great deal.
Sigh. We're used to this by now.

Just shows that you can never count on a patch. I wish they wouldn't
even make these promises.

I got an email from SSI Tech Support saying there was nothing new planned for
FL. Typical, huh? Oh well, that's the last SSI product I buy..

Well, I wouldn't bet the bank on what the Tech Support guys say.
There's a reason why they get labeled as Tech Support, and not Development
Team.

Dear Customer,
SSI does not currently have plans to make an add on disk for
Final
Liberation which would include additional races.

other army's in Final Liberation.
Thanks in advance

Well guess what. That means WH40K:FL didn't sell well, or
SSI has lost the rights to the Warhammer games. I know that the
sequel to WH:SOTHR is not being published by SSI, it is being released
by EA. This is after SSI hyped it on their web pages with WK40K:FL.
So maybe look to EA to continue the 40K series at a future date.

Otherwise, the game didn't sell well. If the company only sold
a few copies, they aren't going to devolpe and release and expansion
disk for it. It does no good to whine about it.

I don't know about other parts of the country, but you can't find a copy of
Final Liberation at any Best Buy stores here in the Minneapolis -
surrounding suburbs area. I've been looking for a copy since Christmas
(have to use those gift certificates up). SSI says they have plenty of
stock, the stores just aren't re-ordering. I would think things would pick
up a bit now since CGW gave the game four stars.

Are you sure about EA and Dark Omen (SOTHR sequel)? If memory serves. EA
has been a distributor of SSI for quite some time now (at least since the
AD&D gold serries).
This also raises interesting questions about WH40K:Chaos Gate as well as
what happens with HDI at this point
