Really need help with Mongols's 3rd campaign vs. the Chinese and the great
wall. What are the right steps to go and what are the right weapons to build?
They all attack me endlessly and one of them is building a Wonder. I barely
survive the continuous ontlaughter. Just now way to breach the wall and kill
the wonder. Besides, the game gets so choppy after I take out the blue
Engineers. Help.

Mongols suck big time. Don't play them.

(Proof: I got off the train in Mongolia, boy some ugly tents, barns,
pigs, and knee deep poop everywhere, so I ask why did we stop? They
say well is the capital city: Ulan Bator! don't you see? Yikes!

Then they almost arrested me for being a spy! They were looking up some
names from some dirty sheets, kept pointing at me and gurgling up some
words, kept the train in the station for two hours. Not that it
mattered to much, the Trans-Siberian Express took one full week to
cross the Asian part of Russia, thru Mongolia, down to Canton, China,

... it cost 50 bucks the ticket Moscow-Canton ... about 8 years ago,
boy I was a fool ... hmmm so many memories ...)

whatever,

You're a seriously flawed person, Puddle. I hope you realize that.

Don't jump to some hasty conclusions HD formatting Win98 user!

I was told countless times that my brain *IS* worth the paper it
is printed on.

I have know idea how to complete this scenario. I tried thsi scenario 3
times. But each time I take out the Blue Engineers the game gets too choppy
to continue. I enjoyed the first two Mongol scenarios. Hope the patch fixes
the chopiness problem.

I didn't have a problem with the choppiness. I did have problems with
this scenario though. Here's how I beat it (On Hard. I think Hardest
would be nearly imposssible).

1. Take out the blue engineers. Take three of your villagers back to the
starting area and build the town center. Have two villagers build a
logging camp on the engineers island and start logging. The other
villager should be building huts so you can build more units.

2. Quickly build a double wall (with a gate if you want) on the entrance
to the engineer island. Then add four towers behind it. This should keep
any stupid incursions to a minimum. On the northern side wall off the
gold, stone and berry bushes so that the corner is secure. Make sure to
build a stables and a gate so you rush out and destroy any seige weapons
that pass by.

3. Build a pair of docks on the Southern shore of the engineers island.
Start cranking out the fishing ships. I didn't build a single farm this
scenario and had about a dozen to 15 ships running at a time.

4. Race towards the imperial age.

5. Once in the imperial age build a castle by the gold and stone that is
just outside your wall in the north. Stock it full of your special unit
to protect your villagers and then stream your villagers down to clear the
gold and stone. Once gone build a second castle by the other gold mine.
Bring down all the units from the first and repeat.

6. Meanwhile the Jin probably started their wonder. As quickly as
possible upgrade to elite Cannon Galleons and Fast Fire Ships. You'll
need a couple of regular galleons too but they're not as important. Build
a dozen Fire ships and about 6 cannon galleons. Send the Cannon galleons
along the coast picking off towers, castles, docks, and any other
buildings you can get. Use the Fire ships to kill off any of the Jin
navy.

7. Send a villager to the harbor that opens into the Jin compound (near
the center of the island). Build a stables, seige workshop and archery
range. Build skirmishers to take care of the crossbowmen, and heavy
camels to take care of the cavaliers. Build capped battering rams to
knock down on the buildings and the wonders. This should cause the Jin to
surrender.

8. Back up north you should be getting your ass kicked by the other
three. Let them. Bring down a couple of villagers to the now dead Jin
island. Set up docks, huts and a new town center. Start chopping trees
like there's no tommorow and move you fishing fleet south.

9. Send your cannon galleons around back and start hammering anything
withing range. You'll need a couple of galleons to kill any annoying
priest who tries to convert you.

10. Send up a villager or two to build stables and mop up the Sung with
them. The red Chinese are pretty much killable by your cannon galleons
while the green chinese take forever and required successive waves of 5
battering rams and 40 light cavalry.

Overall, once the Jin are dead the game is pretty much won since the other
three chinese don't build ships. Still, I killed the Jin in an hour and
the game lasted another 3 after that.

Hope this helps!
