I'm stuck. Stuck stuck stuck. From what she's said, it has something
to do with the place being dark. I also see all the broken mirrors
scattered around the place. So, how do I go about brightening up the
place? I've tried igniting everything. Thanks.

You're thinking too hard about it.

SPOILER!

Alchemiss will give you the solution, just be patient and keep antboy alive.

There is nothing to "solve" here. You just keep attacking Shadow, and
eventually the solution takes care of itself as you learn how to do it
through dialogue.

Or you could go straight to the solution...

Aha... thanks. I keep forgetting how you can destruct the
environment, even though that is an amazingly cool part of the game.

Thanks! I've been beating on Shadow for forty minutes, saving and
re-saving and was losing my mind. I got through several instances of
her yelling 'Fool! You can't beat me in the darkness!' and I finally
decided - ah, maybe these candles and broken mirrors do something.
Never thought of those pesky pillars . . .
