Okay, so I've been unable to actually confirm that the Aztecs believed
that, but the concept is just too neat to ignore. Can we have jaguars
falling from the sky in Dominions II please? Pleaaaaaase? Pretty please
with sugar on top? *tries to look cute, which isn't all that easy for
infernal Norwegians*
Maybe, say, a mid-level blood and fire ritual similar to "Call of the
Wild" (perhaps with a detrimental effect on the target province's
population if the jaguars win combat). Then again, since it's supposed
to be apolyptical - how about a ritual that has "Call of the jaguars" in
_every_ land province on the map?
Pleeease? *does the Disney-eyes thing*
Auch! It _hurts_ to try and look that cute.

I'll second that! I wouldn't mind an Aztec-esque faction either.
I'm actually pretty keen to see if they introduce any new factions in Dominions 2.
Possibilities might make an interesting thread...

Could be an "event" easily enough. Rather like the various invading units
that can hit a province. But if they are a unit which can be fought then
they need to exist as a unit appearing somewhere else in the game.
Illwinter tends to not waste space.

If there's an Aztec-themed nation, which might be rather
interesting (and there are already Aztec-themed elements, if I'm
not mistaken -- well, at least the Couatl is there), it might be
appropriate.
Figure on, what, obsidian weaponry, light armor if any, heavy use
of magic (blood, nature, fire?), access to couatls, jaguars and
man-jaguar hybrids...

Hm, jaguars that emerge from the jungles and try to drive out
the people, hrmmm. A bit odd, but potentially amusing (and it
wouldn't be the first such item in Dominions; try wishing for
"death". The only reasons I know that you'd want your 9-astral
mage to die would be (a) to turn him into a wight mage if he's
had the appropriate ritual active; and (b) if he's immortal,
and there's a protective dome on your home province, and you
need to send him back there, and he's surrounded with no
escape, yet he's in a friendly dominion...).
