Has anyone got a easy to understand campaign path for Panzer General.
I've down loaded one, but I don't seem to be going along that path. Or
perhaps I'm not just reading correctly.

Is there anyway to find out where I'm exactly in a campain. The only
information I get is the german guy at the beggining stating what I'm
about to do. Is this the only information I have to work out where I
am in a campaign ?
The german boss states "You must evade France" -- ok, I must be in the
France campaign. Mmmmmmm look at chart of campaigns.... must of done
"LOW COUNTRIES' somewhere, don't remember that. I win the France
Battle. German boss gets on and says "You must break the will of
people of Paris"..... (didn't I just do that, Paris is in France).
Makes it hard when your a month between battles in a campaign. You
can't remember what the last battle was. I think I remember
POLAND
WARSAW
NORWAY >>>>> Lose / Minor / Major >>>>> means I go to Low Countries.
Where is this LOW COUNTRIES ??? What is it ????
Think I'm in the 'FRANCE' battle. Don't remember doing the Low
Countries though.
I have the chart, I have all the information....... but
Is there anyway like a map, I look up a index and easily find where I
am in the campaign ???
Please help a frustrated player...

Ummm....every campaign I've done in PzG Low Countries was the scenario
that preceeded France '40. It starts with your forces at the east
edge of the map. It is an invasion of Belgium, Luxembourg, & northern
France.

Low Countries is after Warsaw/Norway. It is the invasion of Belgium
and the "Low Countries" and the invasion of NORTHERN France.
After The Low COuntries you have to Invade France Proper, which
includes Paris.

The Germans didn't invade France directly, that would have meant going
through the Maginot Line. They went through Luxembourg, and Belgium
I think. Watch the animation.

The low countries scenario follows the historical campaign from the
initial attack on the 10 of may . The germans attaked holland and
belgium directly , but they sent all their panzer divisions south
trough the ardennes , they breached the meuse river near sedan on the
13-14th , and drove on to the channell in a few days. Thus , all the
allied troops in belgium were cut off . In the scenario, you have to
capture abbeville , but you don't get any benefit from encircling the
english/french to the north , and you have to direct most units to
take all the fortified belgian cities.

One of the many cripples I play PzG with is that I only allow my
ground and naval units to attack either before they move, or after
they move a maximum of one hex (ie they cannot move more than one hex
and then attack in the same turn). This makes it much more difficult
to destroy crippled enemy units and gives them a chance to retreat and
get replacements. As a consequence, battles of encirclement become
fairly important if you don't want to keep facing the same units over
and over again.
This doesn't really alter my strategy in the Low Countries though. I
still send my main panzer units into the heart of Belgium to face the
Allied armour head on. I usually do some encirclements there, but on
a much smaller scale than the historical campaign.
Cheers,
Alan/
