Warcraft 2 Multiplayer HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Connecting is an art form. Make sure you've got the correct com ports
selected. What usually works for us is to check the init strings on
games we know work well, like descent 2, and replace the init string in
Warcraft 2 with that one. Its something simple like ATZ only. Try it,
it works.

I bought WCII and recommened to a bud to do the same for multiplayer games,he did
so we connected chose the map , units and all that other crap but i could not get the start game
button to turn from being gray.we tried both ways (me calling him-him calling me)i closed all the other slots
and still ...nothing can someone please help
any help would be much appreicated(sorry i cant type on this damn microsoft keyboard)

If you did indeed 'connect' then i suspect that your problem was a very silly
one that i have seen on here before and is a common mistake. Next to the
connecting person's name is a little box that the player has to 'click' on
before you can start the game. It simply means that he is ready to start.

There is a little box beside your opponent. he is supposed to click on
it to get a "X" on it. THen, the start game button will work. Have
fun!

When the multiplayer screen appears, the person who is receiving the call has
to click little square to the left from its name and a little "x" will appear.
Now you will be able to start your game. Have a nice gameplay!

BTW, do configure your news reader. And keep those lines shorter than 80
columns.

The person that receives the call needs to click the "jewel" box to the left
of their name. Then you can start the game.
