I am trying to run Harpoon 2 under Win 95, The install looked like it
went OK. I run it now (in DOS mode) and it says a "mouse was not
detected, you need a MS compatible mouse" etc. and then it restarts
Windows. Any idea what I can do to successfully make Harpoon2 understand
that I really do have a mouse!?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please respondez via e-mail.

Thanks,

PS --
Not loving Win 95 for DOS games no matter how much companies like Sierra
gush about how great it is...

You need to install a mouse driver. You can make a short autoexec.bat that
would load the driver and then run Harpoon 2.

Try loading a dos mode mouse driver...usually mouse.com, before starting HP2.
A little unusual for W95 to lose the mouse when dropping to dos mode,
but not unheard of either... Jim O..

>Check my homepage at http://www.primenet.com/~sjacobs you will find a
FAQ there on how to install Harpoon II into Windows 95. While you are
there you can find out how to join the Harpoon mail list. There are a
lot of people on the list who can answer almost any question you have
about Harpoon Classics, Harpoon I or Harpoon II.
