it won't run on a 486 .. it needs a pentium 90 ..

I beg to differ... I have successfully run SC and a 486 dx100 pc with 24
megs of ram. It is a bit choppy but it will run....

It won't? Are you certain?
I have been successfully running StarCraft on a 486DX66 with 20 megs
of RAM, with absolutely no problem.
In multiplayer at home we play it on a 486 66MHz, 16MB.
It is playable, especially if you're not used to playing it on
the faster machine. :-) I assume it would play the same in
single player, but, I haven't tried single player on the 486.
