What is the email for bug reports to SSI? I discovered an annoying
bug. During the Norway scenario, I had a stuka at the start with a
leader "rutger" with fire discipline as his random ability. An
infantry unit gained a leader during the battle, "Niemeyer" with
Tenacious and Determined Defense. My Stuka then mysteriously changed
its leader to a "Niemeyer" as well with the same abilities! This
outraged me and I spent some time with a hex editor but could not
trivially change my leader back using difference comparisons around
the location where the unit experience data is stored (so my
hypothesis that leaders were coded there is apparently wrong).
Tenacious Defense is quite worthless for an airplane as it affects
Close Defense only, and I don't ever intend to let me Stuka get beat
on with fighter escort, so Determined Defense isn't much use either.
My great leader was lost by this insidious bug, which I discovered only
by accident when I was clicking through my units!

Can anyone else confirm this bug and the circumstances under which it
occurs? I have the saved games to prove it. I hope SSI fixes this, but they
need to know about it to do that, and I don't know the email address for
PG2 bugs.

Hi Willy,
You can report program bugs to SSI's customer service and they will
forward the information for you. Just start at http://www.ssionline.com/
and navigate from there. I haven't seen that leader bug, but it obviously
Tenacious Defense which is the Infantry assigned ability shouldn't ever be
applied to another unit type (of course Determined Defense could be). The
readme file doesn't mention that Tenacious Defense is only for close
support however, it just says: "Ground defense increased by 4". Also, the
Determined Defense increases all your defenses by 2 (i.e.; it also good vs.
Antiaircraft fire.. always a concern for a close support aircraft like a
Stuka). I'll start watching the leaders just a little closer now. Thanks.

Is it too much trouble to go to their web page or look at the documentation
that came with the game to find out their email address?
