I was at Walmart last night and saw a game on the shelf called 'Imperivm
Romanvm'. I can't find any real info on it on the web. Even Game
Rankings shows nothing for this game. Any one here have it and have
opinions of it? If it is just the standard RTS fare then I am not
interested in it. Thanks.

Found another video that has commentary. Looks better than the Age of
Empires games maybe (city building is more detailed) but still not my
thing as it is still just a basic RTS game.

OK, found it on Game Rankings. Reason I couldn't find any info on it was
because I was using the actual spelling of the game title instead of the
bastardized U.S. spelling.

I don't think it's bastardized, the Romans wrote Us as Vs, since they didn't
actually have Us. Js or Ws, either.

The title of the game is in latin but it seems many websites are using
English instead of latin.

The title of the game in Latin is Imperium Romanum. You won't find
"imperivm" in a Latin dictionary. While the ancient Romans would've
carved the title in stone in a way that looked like a modern English
speaking person would write "IMPERIVM ROMANVM" in block letters,
they'd never have written anything that looked like "Imperivm Romanvm".
The Romans didn't have lower case letters. Using "V" instead "U" in
the box's title art is just a stylistic touch; using "v" instead "u"
in the title of the game on the WWW would just be ingorant.

Hypocrite. You prentensiously critizised web sites for not using
pseudo-Latin "Imperivm Romanvm". You are the definition of an elitist
putz.

You are a moron. I read on a website that they were using the latin
spelling for the game instead of english and is the only reason I made
my post. Obviously they were talking out of their ass and mislead me.
But you come along and get all pompous about it. I bet you wear a bow tie.

You carry it around in a cup then? Oh dear. "vomerum meum" would be more
appropriate, methinks. Or "pen... meum" -- I have forgotten how to do the i-
declination.

No, the only one talking out their ass is you. The game's title in
English is "Roman Empire", and no website used that name.

*laughs* As your pseduo-Latin insults demonstrate, you're the only
one here trying to be pompous and elitest. You've proven yourself to
be nothing more than pompous hypocritical fool. I guess it's already
time for you change your name and start over.

But you said it is just stylisitc and not latin. Which is it man?! FFS!

Beat you to the name change but not because I need a fresh start. Just
didn't like Q enough to keep it. You see? That's what makes you a
pompous gob-shit. You are making nasty assumptions about me that just
aren't' true at all.

I didn't say that at all. Are you a liar or can't you read English?

Everything I said about you is true. You've proven it, and you keep
proving it. You're a pompous hypocritical fool.

Come on, admit it. You wear a bow tie every day. I expect it is red with
white polka-dots. Occasionally, when you feel like dressing up for a
night out at the library, you wear a black one with yellow polka-dots.

Ah, so you're a pompous hypocritical fool and a liar. Good thing Usenet
doesn't force you to use your real name. If your mommy found out what
you're up to you might get into real trouble.

Usual flames of the mediocre and unimaginative. Usenet is the last
bastion of freedom of speech so with that said, fuck off. In Latin that
still translates to: fuck off.

Whatever makes you happy. Just try to wear something a bit less goofy

You know, I've been wondering where this silly polka-dotted bow-tie
insult you keep repeating is comming from, but now I've figured it out.
You're hypocrite and you're proud of it. You must actually be wearing a
polka-dotted bow-tie while using your computer. Is this something your
mommy forces you to do, or is it just a bizarre affectation? Does it
also make you feel like you're a better man than everyone else?

I am not into men that wear polka dotted bow ties. If he promises to
take it off during sex I will reconsider.
