RA (Red Alert) Allied Scorched Earth Mission

I'm kind of confused. After playing for a while I finally sent a
spy to infiltrate the command center. As soon as he entered the area
where the four missle silos are, they launched. I then received a
transmission saying to "infiltrate the command center and disarm the
missles". Well, I had 4 spies standing right there. The first 3 hit land
mines and died, the 4th one made it into the building, with all of 20
seconds counted down on the timer. It told me "building infiltrated" and
then the mission just continued. I assumed since I was supposed to
de-activate 4 a-bombs that there would be some action within the command
center after I got in.

So what's the deal? Do I need to destroy everything but the command
center before I infiltrate? Is this just some stupid bug?

Scratch this, just figured out I'm supposed to use an engineer.
"Infiltrate" just made me think of spies.

Once the missiles launch you have one hour to capture the base using
an ENGINEER not a spy. Once you capture it, you go straight to part
two where you infiltrate the base and disarm the missiles. Note that
you have one hour for these two COMBINED. So don't dawdle capturing
the command centre, you need at least 25 minutes to explore and disarm
the missile base - and that's when you no how to do it! Let me know if
you're having trouble once you are in the base, there is a trick to
it!

Hi, I'm having big problems with the part 2 of the Allied Mission 10
too. I managed to capture the control centre pretty fast, but with only
gunners inside the building, it seems impossible to go past the flame
towers. I've also heard that someone has got Tanya for this part, how
do I do it? Or is that another easier way to complete this part?

Send a spy up out of the elevator section and then straight down, trying to
avoid any dogs on the way. Leave the rest of the group in the elevator area,
they'll be able to survive in their for a while. Move the spy down until you
find the parking lot full of parked tanks. Move down to the bottom of that
parking lot to the entrance door where the tanks are coming in, and a couple of
enemy troopers will enter the room.

Just after they enter, they will both get shot dead by Tanya, who will enter
the room after them. She will now be under your control. With Tanya, it's
child's play to eliminate all attacks so you can use her as a pointman
(pointwoman?) in front of your group as you explore the building. At the flame
tower, send her in along the right side of the room, sidle up as far as you can
go, hit the oil barrels, and then charge for the tower. She'll take some
damage but she moves too fast for the flame tower to get a full-power blast on
her. She can take out the flame tower with an explosive charge and the medic
can heal her back to full health afterwards.

You need to take over the building with engineers. Once that happens you
will go to the 2nd part of the mission which takes place inside the
building. Leave yourself _lots_ of time - restart the mission if necessary
to get to the point where you can capture the building with at least 15 -
20 minutes left of the timer. You will need that time inside...

Remember also, like I've pointed out before, that the counter doesn't
start until you attack (or get inside) their base. What I did was sit
back and build up defenses and kept taking out his harvesters with 10
longbows until he ran out of cash, then I built up a force and went
through the back door (blow up the trees). The counter started at 1 hr,
and I was in with over 47 mins remaining, plenty of time to explore the
inside of the command center and disable the missiles. If you use that
tactic, the mission is actually quite simple, you just need patients.

Help! I can get inside with no problem and 30:00 minutes to spare, but
my spies are eaten by the dogs, and all my minigunners end up getting
killed by the larger numbers of soviet troops. How do I get my spies to
explore the inner passages without getting killed? I assume this is how
I am to approach this mission. Any help at all??

Here's how i do it:

After killing the intial rush of troops send all you minigunners to the
east then south. (I leave my spys and enegineers in the entrance until
I clear the way some.) Go south until the passage takes a turn to the
east (will kill some troops and dogs on the way) leave your troops
there for a few. Move your spies etc to join them. Send a spy east then
take the first hallway south, you will enter a large room with lots of
tanks etc in it. Move your spy south towards the bottom of the screen,
a few mamoth tanks will enter,( they wont attack, all vehicles are
inactive) followed by 2 grenade troops....then in charges Tanya!:)She
will kill the 2 troops and then she's under your control. Tanya can zip
through the place without problem...just pull the rest of your troops
at a 'safe' distance behind.
