Hopefully no one minds. Otherwise, well... I just do not like
posting technical stuff to an Internet website that is here today
and maybe gone tomorrow.

I am blown away by the fact that Forged Alliance includes scripting
in the form of "building templates". Apparently the first RTS to do
so. And the implementation is slick.

About scripting a.k.a. "building templates"...

I am really very impressed with the Forged Alliance implementation,
but IMHO this is how I would enhance it...

...ideally but not necessarily, allow buildings/weapons to be
placed, moved, and deleted (like an editor), or just build and
destroy/reclaim the way we have to do it now

...allow the order of construction to be changed, first clear any
current order of construction with a single keystroke or mouse
click, then sequentially click on the structures (they would be
numbered as you do so), then the numbered structures could be saved
as a template

That sequential clicking on the structures would be like selecting
buildings by click and drag, but you would be specifying the order
instead of being locked into the order in which they were built.

About changing the lighting on Fields of Isis...

I am trying to change the lighting colors of Fields of Isis (Forged
Alliance)...so that objects like the light green decals and building
placement markers are easier to see...Closing the HazardX editor
causes my system to restart. I suppose the obvious workaround is to
avoid closing it...Keeping HazardX open helps. Preliminarily,
closing the process in Task Manager using "End Process Tree" appears
to stop the unwanted restarts. That utility seems to work for
duplicating and then changing the lighting, then I just copy the
copy out of the Supreme Commander folder and into My Documents.
