Hello,

I have finished all quests except the time of vault quest. When and where I
can approach the unicorn king for opening the vault. Thanks.

Visit each obelisk! When you have visited them all (one in each area) you
will be able to understand the message they carry. That message will tell
you where to find the vault key.

Can you find the key even if you haven't visited all the obelisks, or
is there a game flag that is tripped when you visit the last obelisk?

I don't know which obelisk(s) I haven't touched yet and I don't really
want to have to go through every area to find the one I missed....

Flag tripped.

If you look at the obelisk list, it'll tell you which ones you've hit; you
can hit 6 of them in about 5 minutes with Town Portal.

Hi,

Midsummer's Day is June 24th. The unicorns populate Murmmurwoods, so the
Unicorn King appears among his subjects.... Actually, he appears near the
centre of Murmurwoods. I Armeggeddoned the place in early June, so I had no
problem finding him on my Wizard's Eye.

Was this not a slight overkill?? "I want the unicorn king alone on my
handy dandy Wizard Eye Scanner. I know how, I will nuke Murmorwoods!"
What happened to the old standard evil twisted approach of Mortal
Kombat one at a time and make em suffer?

Some people just gotta be in a major rush all the time.

Thanks for the idea though as I may use this for MK follow up.

Hi,

So I was roleplaying a loner evil Necromancer. I completed the game with
just the one character.

You are slightly crazy me thinks. You appear to have enjoyed yourself
so who the nuke green crap am I to complain eh?

I do understand now. I took my very first trial run and got my butt
totally kicked by unicorns. I will be following up a MK style blood
bath with a nuke or two.

FYI: A mix of Unicorns and Basilisks at the near same time was simply
too much for my party. "Death to the normals" I guess was the battle
cry.

I must be crazed too, I played all the way thru with a Dark Elf first,
then a Necromancer as my only party members. I found a party made the
game too easy. Playing with one character made it just right. Besides,
you'll be surprised how much faster a single character levels than a
whole party does.

The might and magic games have always been about learning how to
exploit weaknesses in the game engine to win. I think the developers
know that, and that's why they use the ridiculous numbers of enemy
NPCs. You can clear that whole zone in 10 minutes by flying and using
the insert and PageUp keys to dodge incoming spells. Also, you can
move backwards while flying much faster than enemies can come at you,
so you can keep distance between enemies and yourself. A Noblebone Bow
makes this proces REALLY easy, even for a one character party, but 3
or 4 with normal bows can kill something every turn, and take no
damage doing it.

Once you can fly the outdoor portions of the game are trivial. In my
opinion the spell should be modified, or removed from the game. But
they won't do that...

Are you sure? I did a few tests... killing a particular monster with
one and two party members. each get the same amount of experience.
Same with quest completion. experience is NOT divided among party
members, a character gets the same amount from one task whether he's
alone or completes it in a party.
