Has anybody else run into this yet?

For me, I've just finished helping Killian defeat Gizmo
and I've saved the game. But I've discovered that after
a couple of days, my character will automatically lose
4 intelligence points, 4 perception points, and a couple
of charisma points. I've reloaded and tried again, but
it still happens. What gives? Radiation poisoning?

Thanks,

Could be radiation poisoning....when you open your 'char' screen there is a
list of possible things that can cause harm ie brocken arm, posion etc.
Look and see if rad poisoning is highlighted if you so you need a rad clean
up kit. I think I bought some by clicking on Killians tables....shows more
inventory for each table.

No, that doesn't seem to be it. Radiation is not highlighted in the
character sheet. If I advance the game about 36 hours from when
I last saved, I'm still losing character points.

I doubt the two things are related, but I found that when I drank a
beer in the pub there, I permanently lost a perception point. Could it
be an item you used, or something you ate/drink prior to saving the
game? If not, try going back to a previous save and doing the whole
thing over again. You never know, it might be a bug.

Have you taken mentats? They wear off after a while, and then
your stats go down, and a after a little while more your stats return
to normal.

Yup, that was it. Darn Mentats. Gotta avoid them in the future.

I've had my stats change on my as well, however, I GAINED points in a
few stats. I didn't notice when it happened, and I suppose it might be
a normal perk derived from gaining levels. I am not radiated, nor did
I take any drugs, nor am I wearing anything that would change my stats
at all.

BTW, drinking beer doesn't permanently decrease your perception. Just
use your PIP Boy alarm to wake yourself up after several hours, and
you'll notice the beer's effect has worn off, and your PE is back to
normal.

I lost two points of strength permanently due to radiation poisoning. I
was coming back from the glow, and I got this message that said I was
fatigued and vomiting. Well, my hit points were fine so I thought "oh
well". And I kept going, well later in the game, after a save (Grrr), I
fin my guy unable to carry lots of stuff, so I looked and sure nough two
points gone. So carry lots of rad pills and radx or whatever the IV
stuff is.

It is a box of those pills wearing off.

hmmm, funny thing. I finished up the glow mission and GOT +2 to my
strength. maybe it had to do with me being addicted to rad-away, got
addicted on my first dose! but during the long trek back, the
radiation went away along with the addiction and my str went from 4 to
6! go figure. (ps. moot point now with power armor str 9!!!)

I had a very similar expeience. except I lost 3 strength points! Is this
permanent?!?! I am carrying more than my carry allowance, and as long as I
don't put anything down I'm okay. But I want more stuff.
