go back to arnika, and look around the area of the savant's tower..m
The potion is on the ground in front of the tower in Arnika.
I have no idea why you need it except for a nice 25000 XP bonus. You can
hire him as you find him and there´s no difference in stats before and after
repair AFAICT.

Before repair, he can't speak a sentence without breaking out in static.
Afterwards, he talks properly, and provides useful information quite often,
e.g. giving a breakdown of each new area you enter.

* THIS IS THE VOICE OF THE MYSTERONS. WE'RE NOT SURE IF YOU CAN HEAR US,

: Can someone tell me where to find NAS-81 to repair the android monk? Also
: what's the benefit of repairing the android? Thanks a lot!
1. You'll find one in Arnika, and another one at NAS-81's general vicinity.
2. Experience, and you'll get a neat monk RPC that unlike other RPC's isn't
picky or afraid to go anywhere, with the exception of only one non-crucial area.

Yep, I found a bottle of it behind the broken shack right next to the shack
where he was.
I have the android monk, and I REALLY like him! Where is this one non-
crucial area where he won't go?
Thanks,
Daryl Forrest
SPOILER
The Rapax Base Camp, which I think is only accessible after you've visited
the Rapax Rift. I'm not sure if any RPCs will go there - there is a
plot-based reason for going there without any RPCs.

* It was pretty impressive...although later there was an 'ick' factor
Hmmm... I just finished Rapax Rift and am about to enter the courtyard
area. I hate the thought of losing my beloved Android, even for a short
time!

The Rapax Base Camp is at another place than the other Rapax zones entirely.
IIRC, you could get there from the Swamp instead of Mountain Wilderness.
From the South East Wilderness, which is accessible from eaither the Swamp
or Northern Wilderness.

* The second rule of combat - never over-estimate your enemy
I can't believe none of you guys have said this yet but if you look
real hard behind the hut next to the one where the broken android is
there's another bottle of NAS-81 ;)
I think this bottle may be random and/or dependent on level. I found it
easily in my first game (and already had the bottle from Arnika). I have
started ny second game with my "leave with Umpani" party imported from Wiz7,
which starts the game in Mt. Gigas. I was aware of comments such as yours
and searched with Search turned on and Detect Secrets cast - no luck.
However, I found that there IS a way to get RFS-81 to join even if you don't
have the oil. Admittedly his performance is well below par, but he does
participate in the experience award each time. My object was to get him
ASAP to keep his experience level at least equal to that of the party. The
party was 9-10 and he was 10 when we joined forces. We are now 10-11 and at
the point that both the Umpani and the T'Rang want us to speak to the Mook.
It's time to go to Arnika to get the NAS-81 that I KNOW is there and to open
new territories.

Bob
