Alright, going on memory, but here's the short of it...

*****CHAPTER 2 SPOILER SPACE****

*****DONT' READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT CHAPTER 2 SPOILED!****

*****BUT THAT WAS KINDA INHERENT IN THE SUBJECT LINE.****

*****SO WHY ARE YOU READING THIS, ANYWAY?******

****ANYWAY, ON TO CHAPTER 2 SPOILERS!!*****

You need to get at least two cultist journals. One can be found in
the ogre/bugbear/goblin caves north of town. The other can be found
in a cultist roaming outside of Charwood after you finish the trials
quest. Another can be found on a cultist stuck in the Spirit of the
Wood's home plane.

At some point, you'll need to wander about Port Last until you've run
into the Hafling turncoat Soloman twice. First time he'll give you a
ring, second time he'll tell you you're a sucker, and they've been
tracking you the entire time using the ring. Ignore the irony that
you've probably only used it for about five minutes for a moment, and
leave town.

At some point during these events, two things will happen. One,
Soloman will attack you on one of the main roads leading out of town.
Secondly, you'll be approached by a woman who claims she's lost her
brother near the standing stones outside the entrace to the Charwood
area. Complete these two events (they both happened to me on the road
outside the Griffon Inn, your mileage may vary.), and head *back* to
Port Last. There's a dwarf there you'll need to talk to, you'll know
him by the way he keeps saying he needs to talk to you. He'll tell
you of the assassin Vorago, who the cult has sent after you to take
you down once and for all.

Now, finding him is the hard part, and I'm fairly certian it's at
random, as I found him in three different places after three different
save/loads. But he'll be somewhere on the three main roads, and not
in a town or dungeon. He's not too hard, just hard to predict and be
ready for, especially if you're not rested already.

After you kill Vorago, you'll find a note on him. Take this back to
Arabeth and Gend, he'll finally be conviced the Cult is stationed
somewhere in the Luskan Host Tower, and allow you to enter the gates.

This is all I can remember off the top of my head, it's no doubt
incomplete. I'd suggest browising around the
alt.games.neverwinternights group if this doesn't help.

The problem I had with this the first time round was that after picking
up Relmar's Journal (the dwarf in the Neverwinter Spirit Realm), it
disappeared, *without* activating the proper entry in my own journal, and
it wasn't available at the Tyr's-Lost-Plot-Items Pool-tm, so I was unable
to complete the proof. That was a multiplayer game though and last night
I was able to complete this part in SP.

I believe Relmar's Journal and Vardoc's letter are the two conclusive
pieces of proof Aribeth wants - but I haven't done Charwood yet, so
perhaps you can find extra proof there.

Note that he still finds you even if you refuse the ring...
