Sulik (found in Klamtan) - .233 Pistol (set him to snipe the enemy, he can
fire 2 shots, doing an average of 20 points of damage), Super Sledge (set
him to anything other than Snipe, hits about 3 times, with an average of 20
damage).
Vic (found in Den) - Guass Rifle (Set him to Ranged, he fires once per turn
with an average of 50 damage, he kicks ass!)
Myron (found in Stables, near Reno) - Needler Pistol (only weapon he can
use, he sucks, nuff said.)
Cassidy (found in Vault City) - Guass Rifle (same as Vic.)
Marcus (found in Broken Hills) - Turbo Plasma Rifle (he can fire this weapon
twice! Not very high damage though, perhaps you can try giving him a Flamer
or burst weapon? Like Bozar?)
K-9 (Navarro), Cybernetic Dog(NcR), Goris(Vault 13) - All have only 1 and
only weapon.
Lenny (Gecko) - Give him a Guass Pistol (accuary sucks, fires only once....
you're better off with another NPC.)
Miria/Davin (Modoc) - THEY BOTH SUCK! NUFF SAID! THEY DON'T EVEN PARTICIPATE
IN BATTLE! NO USE GIVING THEM WEAPONS!
Btw if anyone knows of any other NPCs, please tell me. Any if anyone knows
howto make Miria/Davin participate in battle... aLSo tell me. If you know
howto hack the character limit over 6... even better also tell me.. haha

Sulik will also use a submachine gun.

I haven't had good experiences with snipe . . . usually makes them walk away for
a few rounds before firing.
And Sulik hits more often with the Super Sledge.
>Vic (found in Den) - Guass Rifle (Set him to Ranged, he fires once per turn

I usually give him the Assault Rifle, FN-FAL, or the Hunting Rifle. He's good
about not bursting overmuch.
>Myron (found in Stables, near Reno) - Needler Pistol (only weapon he can

And he never hits with it.
>Cassidy (found in Vault City) - Guass Rifle (same as Vic.)
He's best with Shotguns . . . too burst-happy with automatic rifles.
>Marcus (found in Broken Hills) - Turbo Plasma Rifle (he can fire this weapon

He can use Rocket Launchers though I do not recommend letting him have the
rocket launcher and the chaingun.
It's not because he hits anyone . . . in fact, it's because he /doesn't/ hit
anyone. I gave him both and he spent most of the battle switching weapons over
and over . . . either it wouldn't be the right time for a burst, or it wouldn't
be the right time for a rocket . . . either way, he spent all of his action
points on inventory switching.
He /is/ good as a ranged fighter with the laser rifle of all things. I honestly
prefer to use laser weaponry than plasma weaponry . . . it's too much of a pain
when people disintegrate to go through their stuff.
>K-9 (Navarro), Cybernetic Dog(NcR), Goris(Vault 13) - All have only 1 and

You missed Dogmeat (he can be picked up in the Cafe of Broken Dreams). He also
has just the teeth. Then again, none of them need more than the teeth/claws.
There's also an area-specific NPC in the Navarro Base Deathclaw . . . who also
just has claws.
>Lenny (Gecko) - Give him a Guass Pistol (accuary sucks, fires only once....

And he's not that great a healer.

Yup
Also, another NPC you can pick up is RoboBrain from the Sierra Army Depot.
However, while he says he can use weapons, he never seems to use them. Even
when I give him the right type of weapon and try to have him ready it, he won't.
In battle he just doesn't fight at all. (he only fought once that I saw, and
then just flailed his arms)

I'll repeat this: SPOILERS AHEAD! If you don't want to hear about weird
NPCs, endgame weaponry, or things you haven't seen yet, DO NOT READ
FURTHER!
(ahem.)

My Robobrain (SkyNet, thanks to a good/lucky Science roll) fights quite
well. It took a few attempts to get it to wield the .223 pistol earlier
on, but it eventually would. Later, I switched to the sniper rifle, and
since then, it's continued to fight well with a gauss rifle.
I've been using Custom settings for the most part. Generally, I tell gun
users to attack the closest target, find Distance on their own, use
Ranged attacks only, use Stimpaks when hurt a lot, and run away when they
need a tourniquet. I set Burst to as close to "never" as I can get, but
since I never give 'em burst weapons to begin with, it doesn't usually
matter. Sulik only uses a super sledge, and his settings are identical to
these (except he's Melee only). So far, the only times I've seen NPCs sit
out of a fight have been when it's a short fight that I initiate while in
Sneak mode (usually they don't have time to do anything), and the first
time I went into the Wanamingo mines, when Vic was deeply wounded and
couldn't fight any more and Sulik was only using a sharpened spear that
couldn't do any damage. (Under those circumstances, Sulik stayed away
from the aliens, which was probably the smartest thing I've ever seen an
NPC do.)

Why would you want to do that? They seem to trip all over eachother
and basically just shoot the hell out of eachother whenever I have
more than about 3. I also noticed random encounters seem to be a base
number of enemies multiplied by the number of characters in your
party. Combat takes way too long with 20+ people on the screen
fighting...
Oh yeah, facing the alien creatures in Redding, good ole' Sulik would fire
at them with his submachine gun. He'd do 20 damage to them, but nail me for
50+ damage. Way to go, ya fuckin' bonenose! No wonder we tribals have such a
bad name.
Stubbs
Heheh - hey, it's not even that he's nailing ME that pissed me off. I won't
turn hostile and start attacking myself, after all, and my character has
stims anyway. NOOO, Sulik has to pop Goris or K-9 or Cassidy for 50+ damage.
If I'm lucky he'd kill 'em so that I don't have to deal with killing them
myself (after they naturally turn hostile on me).
Conclusion: If Sulik were a real life person, I'd stay the hell away from
him.

Yeah...perhaps if he were a real person he'd be a mite it more careful where
he's shooting too, considering that the people he nicks with that .223 also have
rifles. Man...I wish they put a "Be sure not to hit _us_" option in the combat
control. : )

Hm. I used the custom options set to one of the "don't shoot at me you
stupid fuck" options, and I've almost never been hit by Sulik or anyone
else (I allow all my NPCs, of which I have 5, to use automatic weapons if
they can). Other NPCs get hit every so often, but it helps that my party is
usually better armored than the opposition.
Sulik can use not only the SMG, but all of the HK weapons as well (they're
all very nice, especially the P90 in the mid game since it is the only half
decent weapon that uses the very common 10mm ammo). There were points in my
game where Sulik was doing more damage than _I_ was.
