Hi,

I just finished the Temple of Baa. It was interesting, but I was annoyed.
My cleric, who should be able to do something against these Skeletons,
was pretty damn useless! Where do you get that undead destroying/turning
spell? If I had it, perhaps it would've taken me just 10 days instead of
20... It seems that Skeletons are immune against just everything a cleric
might throw at them except Destroy Undead.
And is it true that Oozes are immune to everything but Air Magic? If so,
I better leave those Caverns and come back later...

Sounds like we are at similar stages in the game. A skeleton is not
immune to bows, which is how I took them out (see spoiler below).
(My cleric is probably the most useful member of my party right now:
but mainly as a healer - she has little offensive power.) You
can also avoid the oozes in the Dragoon's cave - you can complete the
quest and get almost all the treasure without meeting them (there is
one door you should not open). Yes, I confess I sometimes
read a walkthru - this game is eating up enough of my time already,
without wandering around in frustration.

There is a secret passage behind the altar in the Temple of Baa
(if you have the key). It leads to the ledges overlooking the
great hall, from which you can kill all the skeletons with bows
at no risk to yourself.

Oozes are immune to physical damage, but any spells that do elemental
(not necessarily air) or magical damage should work.

Yes, the normal types. But the Lords are tougher. Perhaps I shouldn't
have done it at level 7.

You need to clear out the ground floor (except for the central N, W, S,
E box/room). IIRC, there are two locked rooms - the keys for both are
in the ground floor somewhere (check statues & chests etc). One of
the locked rooms has a chest with the key to the altar.

I quite like doing things early - with skeleton lords, I just ran
backwards like crazy, shooting bows - it was pretty exhilarating, but
not quick. On the other hand, being strong enough to go head to head in
melee is fun too. (I confess I am only at level 19, so I am still
enjoying the hacking and slashing).
