1. Where can I aquire grenades. Been to many stores but none listed.
2. The licences listed at stores; what are they for and are they needed
early in the game?
3. The listed items that I have for sale. Are these non-equiped items and is
there any danger that I might sell something that I might need later?
Still learning :)
Thanks in advance,
Alan

I believe they're loot only, no vendors. Don't rely too much on them
for normal fights, or you'll be out when you really need them. Buying
the grenade capacity increases may help in the long run.

They improve the gear available at your quartermaster, when you get
one. Buy them as you see them, because each seems to be available only
at one spot.

I don't think equipped items show up, but I'm not 100% certain. Try
equipping something and see if it disappears from the list for sale to
check.
There is a way to get a manual for Steam version, though it is not intuitive
and I discovered it occasionally. If you find Mass Effect on "Store" tab,
you should have "View manual" link at the bottom of right-hand column, under
game details. This link is supposedly available only to those who have
bought the game.

Grenades are not sold in stores, you can only find them in the field. You
may buy upgrades though, one of them increases your grenade-carrying
capacity.

You need a license to be able to buy this vendor's equipment from a guy on
Normandy. I bought every licence I could find since they don't cost much.

Yes, they are non-equipped. Don't worry about selling anything important,
because quest items are not on this list (they are shown in your journal).
There is also a "buyback" option on trading screen in case you accidentally
sold something useful, though I am not sure if it still works in case you
left the store and came back again.
