Please can somebody help?? I've just got the UK version of Silver and it
crashes to desktop at one point with an ACCESS VIOLATION...then a Trace
ray error....It only happens straight after I use the amulet at the Fire
Tree area and enter the next area...Three goblin things drop down then
the game crashes??...The tech support suggests changing desktop to
640*480(but that doesn't work)...The only other advice was to get
somebody to e-mail a save game after this point??....Can somebody send
me an old savegame after the fire tree??....Thanks anybody who can.....S

Stab in the dark, turn off Zone Alarm? I put the new Diablo 2 patch in and
forgot to mess with ZA on my other machine and got that when trying to set
up a multiplayer net game. Not sure if these are even related or not. What's
wierd is if it is ZA, then that game is trying to act as a server or
something.

I've managed to get past this crash and the sewer crash.....But it's a long sad
story...Complaints are in the aether winging towards infogrames UK as I type for
releasing such a flawed game and not trying to actually fix their mistakes.....S

Do I notice a trend here? Just borrowed Infogrames' "Outcast" from my local
video store, and immediately discovered one of the most indearing bugs known
to man. The installer laboriously copies about 700MB of stuff to my HD,
exits, and... deletes the entire installation. :)

Reading troubleshooting web pages I'm alerted to a host of other problems
with the release. Right now I'm downloading about 20MB of patches and hoping
they work. Fingers crossed.

I was considering borrowing Silver next... maybe not.
