Hi all :-)

I just installed Morrowind and created a Female, High Elf Bladesinger.
She excells in magic use, and has huge reserves of mana, due to her
intelligence, and star sign, Atronauch.

Her biggest disadvantage is her inabiltity to regenerate magic on her
own.
So she sets off to a quest to cure her curse, or even to find an item
that will allow her to regain magic at a slow and steady pace,
So when she shoots of her magic spells, she's forced to draw her
longblade and hone her skills wearing light armour in wich she's most
proficient at the moment.
There will be a time though, when she'll has to wear heavier armour to
protect her for her more daring raids, and thus she has mastered the
basics of medium and even heavy armour.

Until she finds her precious cure or items to become a powerfull caster,
she'll has to develop herself as an able swordfighter.

I'm having tremendous fun playing this character, even at only the
beginning.

The only drawback is the performance of my system.

Therefor I have 2 questions.

I.
Is there an item, wich I can find/make what will help me regain mana
instead of only absorbing spells. This beacause of my wombburn ability.

II.
I'm playing the game on a:
AMD 1400 MHz
512 MB RAM
40GB 7200 RPM
Windows XP
Geforce 2MX
USB boxes from Philips

I find my framerates at the beginning town around 8-15 is this normal??
How could I tweak it?? I have the newest detonator drivers, I tried some
INI file changes with the quidratic lighting, but they didn't help.

And finally, If I buy a Leadtek Geforce4 Ti4400 Winfast 250 TD, 128MB,
TV-Out, DVI will my performance boost signifacly ????

Thanks very much in advance,

Khalistro

I have asked this question many times. The only thing I have learned is that
some people have had success with summoning ancestral ghosts, attacking
them, and making them aggro so they will cast spells back on the summoner. I
tried this, but the ghost did not ever attack me back.

There is no spell available with the "absorb magika" or "restore magika"
effect, so you can't make any enchanted items with that.

Good luck...

What about Manarape? I've found several scrolls with this spell.

There is a mod on morrowindchronicles that adds spells to recover magicka
(the effect is apparently in the game but turned off so it's not available.
The mod puts a mage in the Balmora mage guild who sells the spells--and
soulstones, I think)

I havn't installed any plugins or cheat-added any spells, and I know a
spell called "Powerwell".

Powerwell:
School: Restoration - cost: 38
Effect: Fortify Magicka 5 to 20 points for 60 seconds on Self.

I can't remember where I picked it up... But I think I had it after
just visiting Balmora temple and mage guild, Gnisis temple and Ald
Ruhn mage guild.

Hope that helps.

You're right - you can randomly find a few scrolls of manarape. I have found
2 so far in 2 weeks of playing.

Powerwell is only Fortify mana. If you have 0 Mana, it won't add to current
mana (at least fortify mana potions didn't help me at all).

Truly sorry, but I couldn't find the mod you were referring to,
Could you post a link, or name please???
Thanks in advance,

Khalistro

P.S.
So with the default game, its not possible to create a mana regenrating
item???
