Daggerfall - Major Bug, encumbrance

Damn! The first bug I've had bad enough to stop me playing.

It affects encumbrance when accepting artifact quests from Daedras.

After accepting the quest, my encumbrance goes up by over 2,000 which makes
it impossible to pick up ANYTHING. (weight might be 2450/120).

I tried the next daedra quest in the following month. Same problem.

I'm playing with Patch 179. Just finished using the dust on Lysandus.
Carrying a lot of enchanted gear, but this bug happens even if I unequip or
even drop all of my inventory.

If anyone from Bethesda is around, would greatly appreciate a fix.

Problem Solved!! Yeehaa!

Turns out that for some strange reason the deadra princes were turning all
of my letters of credit (several hundred thousand worth) back into gold
pieces. And of course this doesn't show up in inventory. A quick trip to
the bank has fixed the problem.

So sorry Bethesda .. a minor bug, but definitely NOT major.
