MM6: Need help with keyboard

Hi,

I've just started playing this game after my cousin has finished playing
it.
However, he didn't pass me any manuals or books and I'm not too
sure what are the keys and their respective actions.

Could someone list down some common keys and actions.

How do you swap a character's position from number 2 to number 3?

Coming right up. *whips out Might and Magic VI User's Manual*

The most basic keys are:

'A' key: Attack with equipped weapon (If you have a bow, your guy uses the
bow until he gets up close: then he automatically switches to
sword/axe/what have you.)
'S' key: Casts "Ready Spell" (whichever spell you may have ready).
'Shift' key: Makes your party run.
Spacebar: Opens doors/chests, manipulates objects.
Directional Arrows: Movement.
'Control' key + Left/Right Arrows: Strafe (sidestep).
'Enter/Return' key: Switches to turn-based mode. Pressing it again will
return you to real time.

Some more advanced keys:

'Delete' key: Look down
'Page Down' key: Look up
'End' key: Centers viewpoint
'Page Up' key: Fly up
'Insert' key: Fly down
'Home' key: Lands

These are the only keys I use, besides the mouse, which is pretty
self-explanitory. (Note: You may be able to fly, but do not try to swim.
Water will kill you. Well, not really, but if you fall off the docks and
land in the drink, you will take damage until you can drag yourself to
shore.)

Thanks for the help. I've managed to figure out most of the keys you've
mentioned (now that most of my characters are level 6)

But somehow, I still don't know how I've managed to swap my
characters' positions. Do you happen to know how to change them?

Someone helped me with that here: hold down the control key, select one
character and then select the person you want to swap with.
